Bad News for the folks over at Easy Forex. Not only are they below the $5 million capital requirement about to go into effect but now they are being sued by an angry customer who lost their shirt.

Of course, lawsuits from failed traders against forex brokers are a dime a dozen. But this case does not appear to be your ordinary frivolous lawsuit filed by some crank on a vendetta. Here are the details as reported in a major Israeli newspaper:

A lawsuit has been filed against online foreign currency brokerage Easy Forex by one of its customers, alleging that the company paid its brokers incentives when investors lost money and fined them if they made a profit.

Easy Forex said in response that the customer had lost heavily, and it did not want to judge him harshly. It added that as part of its compliance with international standards, it warns customers, both orally and in its literature, of the risks inherent in foreign currency trading.

"All the allegations will be clarified in court," it said.

The claim followed a report on Channel 10 in which an Easy Forex broker was heard saying, "I had this evil grin on my face one day, when a client lost $35,000 in a quarter of an hour. A guy gets wiped out - I get my commission. A guy comes up a winner and turns a profit - I pay."
What jumps out is the line from the Easy Forex broker who brags on television to a news reporter that "a guy gets wiped out - I get my commission. A guy comes up a winner and turns a profit - I pay." I have heard of market makers running amok and giving customers bad order execution for their own benefit but I have never heard of an introducing broker getting compensated only when their customers lose.

So I did some digging to try and find this video. Here it is in all its glory:

Unfortunately, you need to speak Hebrew, which most of us don't. But a friend translated for me and the gist of the interview is that Easy Forex actually compensates these brokers everytime their customers LOSE money. Talk about being underhanded. Aren't introducing brokers usually compensated with a portion of the spread? Not here. Apparently these brokers would go into the religious community where the regulatory oversight is scant and get these guys to open accounts knowing they would get creamed.

Looks like all those critics of market makers have some new ammunition to fire away with in the great ECN vs. Market Maker debate.

By the way, beware forex brokers with evil grins...

Ada juga terbaca pasal easy-forex ni belong to Israel..ada betui ka ? kalau betul kena buat sesuatu ni. x mau la support Israel..

Israel pun makhluk Allah juga...kita kena doakan mereka dapat hidayah supaya masuk Islam...nati aman le dunia...

Tapi harganya pun besar juga...kena sanggup berdakwah dan amalkan Islam macam sahabat2 dulu...

Saya ada pernah dengar, kalau solat jemaah subuh kat masjid/surau sama bilangannya macam solat jumaat, Allah akan bagi  kerajaan dunia pada org Islam...

Sekarang lihatlah bilangan org yg solat berjemaah 5 waktu di tempat kita...sama2 le kita usahakan utk solah 5 waktu di masjid, awal waktu dan berjemaah.

Bila ada seorang Yahudi mati dan di bawa ke kubur di hadapan Nabi, Baginda telah menangis, bila ditanya kenapa?

Baginda menjawab 'dia adalah dikalangan umatku, tapi Baginda melihatnya akan dicampakkan ke dalam Neraka, kerana mati bukan dalam Islam.'

Baginda sgt sayang pada umatnya...

tapi kan,dalam al-quran dah tertulis lagi nyata,bahawa bangsa israel tidak boleh di buat baik dan berdamai,mereka bangsa yg di laknat allah.

Di Malaysia... blh dikatakan 70-80% company (kilang) dari Amerika/Jepun ... senang cite dari luar ler. Ada lak 30-40% kilang nie buat pelbagai-bagai cip serta alat2.... dan alatan ini digunakan utk buat senjata dan sebagainya. Dan hasil2 product buatan kita diMesia ni dihantar ke Israel utk buat senjata. Dgn erti kata lain kita buat senjata utk mereka.

So mcm mana ... any comment?

sori kalao ada yg tak setuju...tp ni mmg btul...Diriwatkan Nabi Muhammad SAW pun berurus niaga dengan peniaga yahudi ..buktinya apabila baginda melakukan gadaian baju besi perang Baginda pada yahudi...kenapa Nabi tak gadai sahaja baju besi kat kaum muslimin??...Ini menunjukkan jual beli antara bukan Islam boleh dilakukan...aku nengok EF ada Islamic acct ini menunjukkan broker prihatin dgn kaum muslim.Tapi kalao btul syarikat yahudi menggunakan keuntungan untuk melancarkan perang ke atas umat Islam sperti yg telah dikenalpasti oleh Persatuan Pengguna Islam Malaysia seperti syarikat Starbucks maka kita mesti bolikot.Aku rasa EF yg ada yahudi ni mungkin broker cawangan je kut...

Yahudi ke apa ke, aku tak pernah tgk level of service yg telah diberikan oleh EF dari broker2 lain yg kononnya lebih gah dan besar dan mcm2 lg. Di Malaysia pun ramai IB yg kononnya akan memberi service terbaik tapi lepas dapat client, nak contact pun susah!

Asyik tuding jari kat org, dabik dada Islam the best bla bla kita sendiri faham n praktikkan atau tidak ajaran Islam.

aku rasa part yahudi ke tak yahudi ni tak leh nak diargue sgt la.. nyk teknologi yahudi ni yg kita gunakan.. bukankah semua tu menguntungkan diorang gak.... ini pendapat aku saja la.. apa salahnya teknologi, kepakaran, good business practice dan yg bebaik dari org yahudi ni kita gunakan untuk membangunkan agama dan bangsa kita jugak.. actually byk yg kita boleh belajar dari yahudi ni... tak yah ikut yg tak baik tu... cam fizi ckp, service level ef bagus, gunakan kelebihan tu ( walaupun aku dah tak leh guna, akaun dah kaput  )...

Hm..org kafir ni ade dua...satu kite kena baik2 malah lindungi mereka then satu lagi yg kite kena perangi if mereka memerangi kite..harap maklum pkara tu tp kenyataannye org yahudi (kafir) mg kite xleh baik ngn depa sb sdia maklum diaorg bangsa yg dilaknat..snyum2 ngn kite pun dia tikam kite juga..mane yg leh kite elakkan ngn kuasa kite..why not kite elakkan..cnth stabuck tu kite leh kan jgn pi minum kat sana..then if EF ni pun ade kaitan dgn yahudi yg nak runtuhkan kite why not kite tukar n blaja ramai2 platform len pule..smuanye di kuasa kite..

p/s : just pendapatan aku je niat ikhlas saling ingat mengingat..tepok dada tanye selera..
